Renuka Kapoor is a Research Assistant Professor in the Hubert Department of Global health at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. She received her PhD in Microbiology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, and Master’s in Public Health from Emory Rollins School of Public Health. She has extensive experience in infectious disease research, both in the field of clinical and applied environmental microbiology. Her current research focuses on assessment of risk of exposure to fecal contamination in the environment and environmental surveillance of typhoid. Additionally, she is involved in development of studies on association between WASH conditions in childbirth environment and maternal and neonatal outcomes in low- and middle-income countries.
