A girl takes antibiotic medication In Chimphepo Village, Chikwawa District, Malawi, a mass drug administration (MDA) is held on Oct. 18, 2016, for the elimination of trachoma. The Task Force for Global Health’s International Trachoma Initiative manages Pfizer’s donation of antibiotic for MDA, which is part of a comprehensive public health strategy called SAFE to eliminate trachoma. During the weeks of Oct. 17-28, 2016, an estimated 500,000 people in more than 100 communities took part in MDA in Malawi.
