Stephanie Ogden, MPP

Stephanie Ogden is Senior Water Policy Advisor at CARE (Atlanta). Her work includes leading the CARE Water Team in working with CARE staff in country offices and in the U.S. on programs that include policy change and policy implementation, including capacity building, research and program design, and translating research into policy and advocacy. She also provides strategic support and analysis for CARE’s global and country program initiatives, particularly in areas of collaborative programming, such as WASH and nutrition/food security, WASH governance and sustainability, WASH and neglected tropical diseases, and WASH research for advocacy. Ms. Ogden also leads CARE’s influence on US policies on foreign assistance for water through working groups and close coordination with civil society organizations, U.S. government officials, and legislative contacts.

Formerly, Ms. Ogden was the WASH/NTD Coordinator and WASH Technical Advisor at Task Force for Global Health where she provided technical support in WASH and developed WASH engagement strategies for Children Without Worms and the International Trachoma Initiative. She also developed and fostered opportunities for collaborative program implementation and research between WASH and NTD sectors. As a result, she was the lead author for the publication “WASH and the Neglected Tropical Diseases: A Manual for WASH Implementers”.

Ms. Ogden received her B.A. in Humanities, Creative Writing and Russian from Colorado State University and her Masters of Public Policy from Oregon State University.
